Please note: The NACF Away Team Uber Vouchers are ONLY available for T1-T3 NACF US Away Teams under the Cost Center 1909. All STA's, Labor Shares, and other Away Team's (RSR, SSD, AMZL, ATS) are not eligible for Uber vouchers at this time
When Applying for an Away team, your application asks if you are able to rent a vehicle. If you answered "NO" to this question, your assimilation coordinator will reach out with alternate travel options.
- NACF Away Team travelers who are unable to rent due to No License will be offered Uber Vouchers as a alternative to rental car. If you said NO because you are under 25, Avis will book ALL Amazon employees cars, regardless of age.
- Please note: Uber Vouchers will only cover trips to and from work daily. Anything after work, days off would be considered an out of pocket expense and will not be reimbursable.

When do I need to notify the Assimilation Team that I need an UBER voucher?
As soon as possible before traveling. You will need to give the reason why you will need an UBER voucher (you don’t have a license, blacklisted from renting a car, etc). UBER vouchers may be delayed if the Assimilation Team is not notified you will need an UBER voucher prior to travel or the request is entered on a weekend.
It says the UBER voucher was accepted by another person.
This issue typically comes up if someone uses a nickname or they lost access to their original account. Contact Uber for Support.
Who is able to issue UBER vouchers?
Any Assimilation Program Manager. Outside of an emergency, UBER vouchers cannot be issued on the weekend.
My UBER voucher is not working when I want to book a ride. It charged my account.
Have you accepted the voucher into your account? If you have, are you trying to travel somewhere other than from your hotel to the launch site or the launch site to your hotel? It will not work outside of that, so you will need to book your trip, pay for it, and add it to your expense report.
I like LYFT better. Can I have a voucher for that instead?
No. This program only works with UBER.
What do I do if my UBER voucher amount is running low and it will not be enough for the rest of my assignment?
Reach out to the Assimilation Team at assimilationassist@amazon.com with your name, login, Away Team site, and why you need additional funds (surcharges, expensive location, etc). so they can check the amount and see if additional funds need to be added.
How do I get reimbursed for my UBER expenses that are not included in the voucher?
- You will need to create a report in Concur. Once you create your report, you would click ‘Add Expense’ then ‘Local Transportation’ then for ‘Type of Transportation’, select ‘Taxi- UBER’.
- If you used Lyft instead, there is also a ‘Taxi-Lyft’ option.
- You will also need to enter any other information with a red asterisk *(Date, amount, receipt, city of purchase, etc.).
- It’s a good idea to put notes at the bottom like transportation to airport or transportation home from the airport. This helps if there are any questions about your expense report.
