***The following Applies to Travel in US and Canada***
All Amazon employees that travel for work are expected to always act lawfully, ethically, and in the best interests of Amazon. You represent Amazon for the entirety of your assignment and are expected to follow all Amazon policies and guidelines as if you were at your home site. This includes, but is not limited to adhering to the guidelines in the Code of Conduct, along with third-party policies that Amazon partners with must be followed under all circumstances.
Travel Reservations:
- Assimilation Coordinators are responsible for booking travel or changing reservations. If there is a concern with your reservation, reach out to the Assimilation Team.
- Reference the Welcome Packet for more detailed information.
Compliance with Laws, Rules, and Regulations: https://inside.amazon.com/en/services/legal/us/codeofconduct/Pages/ConductandEthics.aspx
- Employees must follow applicable laws, rules and regulations at all times. Employees with questions about the applicability or interpretation of any law, rule or regulation, should contact the Legal Department.
- Employees must report to work in a condition to perform their duties, free from the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol.
At the hotel:
- Follow all hotel rules/protocols while staying at the hotel, including in their guest areas. Do not disturb others.
- For example, if the hotel lounge is closed after 10pm, do not be in the lounge after 10pm.
- Treat all hotel employees with respect. If there is an issue with the hotel, calmly speak to the front desk, contact the Assimilation Team, and/or notify your Ops POC.
At the Launch site:
- If you are missing work for any reason, you need to notify both the Manager you are working under at the Launch site and your Ops POC. You should be at work for the duration of your assignment unless there is an appropriate reason to use time.
- If you have negative feedback, especially on the attitude/practices of someone else, speak to your Ops POC. Do not attempt to de-escalate a hostile environment, as it could jeopardize your safety. Instead, remove yourself and alert the appropriate parties.
- For Away Team/Labor Share members:
- While we appreciate and value your insight, please keep in mind that this is a new building/site. You are not on the Away Team to make the Launch site like your home site. You can offer insight from your building but if they would like to do something their way, you cannot force them to do it your way. Be flexible and try to make their idea work.
- For Away Team/Labor Share members:
Employees are to follow all Amazon policies and guidelines throughout their assignment; those who violate any policy/guideline, will possibly be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
