What is the Short Term Assignment Program?
The Short Term Assignment (STA) Program enables candidates who have been hired to a new launch site to receive training at an established host site before their home site becomes operational.
Program Structure
Purpose STA candidates temporarily work or train at a host location to gain hands-on experience and operational knowledge. Upon completion of their training, candidates return to their assigned launch site ready to support the site's opening.
Participant Eligibility This program is designed for candidates assigned to upcoming launch sites who require pre-launch training at an operational facility.
Assignment Duration
- Typical Assignment: Up to 8 weeks
- Maximum Duration: 90 days
- Training Location: Designated host site within the Network
- Return Timeline: Candidates return to their home site in time for the launch
Assimilation Team Support
The Assimilation Team provides comprehensive support to STA candidates throughout their assignments:
- Travel Coordination: Arranges transportation to and from the host site
- Accommodations: Manages lodging for the duration of the assignment
- Escalation Support: Serves as the primary point of contact for travel issues or concerns during the assignment
